    Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Integrity Committee confirmed the government's direction to implement actual measures in the coming days to recover the looted funds from Iraq, while indicating that activating the law, where did you get this from? Who is awaiting legislation that will support the procedures for prosecuting the corrupt.
    Member of Parliamentary Integrity, Duha al-Qusayr, told the official agency, “The draft law to recover Iraq’s funds is still in its first steps, and it is a good and positive move in the right direction and correcting the course, given that these steps were not tangible or noticeable before.”
    And she added, “The House of Representatives conducted the first reading of the law, and now the Parliamentary Integrity Committee is in the process of completing it and laying the solid foundations that enable the state to protect these funds and return them again to Iraq.”
    And she added, “Some countries refrain from cooperating with this file and may have special interests related to these funds, and this matter will inevitably reflect negatively on their economic situation,” stressing that “the Integrity Committee with the legal procedures stipulated in the constitution, and in the coming days there will be procedures with the central government.” In actual follow-up by the supervisory authorities.
    She pointed out that "the principle of accountability still exists, and the Integrity Committee operates with it, in addition to the Integrity Commission, which has begun to take proper and correct steps towards the path that was drawn for it in the issue of fighting corruption."
    And she continued: “We have in the Integrity Committee many laws that were requested by the Integrity Commission, including a law where did you get this from?, and now it is being prepared and studied to take its role in legislation and support the work of the Integrity Commission.”
    She pointed out, “The activation of the law, where did you get this from?” It will be the dividing line in resolving the issue of combating corruption and prosecuting the corrupt, whether inside or outside Iraq.”
