A statement by the office of the First Deputy Governor of Basra, Muhammad Al-Tamimi, stated that a meeting was held with a delegation of Qatari investors, which reviewed the investment map, promising investment opportunities, and the most important projects implemented by the local government in Basra, the most important of which are electric power projects.
Al-Tamimi said, "Basra is now equipped 24 hours a day, thanks to the projects implemented by its local government."
He added, "The local authority in Basra is keen to continue and communicate with investors and the businessmen community, in support of the state's path towards achieving development, services and more reconstruction," stressing that there are strategic projects that the local government aspires to implement, including the "Al-Faw Thermal Station" project, which is a power plant. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalaf, director of the Sadara Group of Companies, stated that their company is ready to implement projects in Basra./ End[/rtl]
