    Shafaq News/ The head of the Diwaniyah Investment Authority, Razzaq Shubar, announced, on Tuesday, the issuance of more than 52 investment licenses in various sectors, indicating the direction to establish an integrated economic zone and a large tower.
    Shubar told Shafaq News agency, "The Investment Authority in Diwaniyah Governorate (southern Iraq) has taken great strides in issuing multiple investment licenses, and it has exceeded 52 investment licenses in various industrial, commercial, agricultural, medical, entertainment, educational and other sectors."



    He stressed, "The authority is working on issuing new licenses during the first half of the current year related to entertainment projects, and is also going to establish an integrated economic zone with an industrial zone and a storage zone, and we also aspire to establish a free zone after obtaining approvals."
    Shubar added, "It was also agreed with the owners to establish a large and important tower in a strategic area in Diwaniyah Governorate, and there is also communication with the National Investment Commission to reactivate Diwaniyah Airport, which will be the first commercial cargo airport in Iraq after completing the approvals."
    With regard to the agricultural sector, Shubbar mentioned that "there are important opportunities presented and applicants for it, but the authority suffers, like other bodies, from the failure to nominate real promising opportunities for investment by the owners, as well as the suffering of red tape and administrative bureaucracy with regard to approving designs and other procedures related to the departments." other".
    The head of the Diwaniyah Investment Authority pointed out that, "There is great cooperation between the authority and the local and central governments for the success of the investment file in the province and moving it forward," noting that "during the past and current year, nearly 14 investment licenses were granted, and this is a good number compared to previous years." ".
    He pointed out that "the authority is proceeding on the way to correct the investment process and launch it towards implementing the government program promised by the Prime Minister to facilitate procedures for investors and others," announcing that "in the coming days, 3 important licenses will be issued in the entertainment sector, including a 5-star hotel and two large recreational areas." and medium.”
