    {Politics: Al-Furat News} Representative Basil Al-Gharabi revealed, on Monday evening, the remaining contentious articles in the federal budget for the year 2023.

    Al-Gharabi told Al-Furat News that: “The Parliamentary Finance Committee continues to vote on most of the paragraphs of the 2023 budget items,” noting that “most of the items were voted on, with the exception of the controversial matters that lie in the share of the Kurdistan region, and Articles 62 and 65 of the Budget Law, and the grievances of the middle and south as the most severe. The regions are poorer and less allocated in investment amounts.
    He added, "The most important controversial matters that were postponed with the intent of the parliamentary finances came to be discussed at the end of the vote on the budget items."
    Al-Gharabi continued, "There are some reservations by the independent representatives on some items of the budget, including two trillion and 600 calorie transportation for the extraction and transportation of oil, which was repeated twice in the budget, and it is a mistake that must be corrected." 
    And he added, “Also, there are proposals for Articles 13, 14, and 15 in the law by the Finance Committee that the share of the 400,000 barrels stopped be through the Turkish port of Ceyhan for a period of 50 days, which is approximately 9 trillion dinars. We offered that this share go directly to the federal government and be included in a bank.” Appointed and under the supervision of SOMO.
