The media department of the parliament stated, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi opened the work of session No. 31 of the first legislative term for the second legislative year."
The statement indicated that the number of attendees was 229 deputies.
It is hoped that the House of Representatives will complete, during today's session, the remaining articles of the federal budget, after two previous sessions during which it was unable to pass the bill in full.
