A Turkish delegation visits Baghdad to resume oil exports from Kurdistan

the acting Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Kamal Muhammad Salih, announced yesterday, Wednesday, that a Turkish delegation intends to visit Iraq to discuss the oil issue.
And Muhammad said, in a statement: "The preparations for resuming the export of the Kurdistan Region's oil are complete in coordination with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and the SOMO Company," explaining that "the issue of resuming the region's oil is related to Turkey and Iraq." On June 19, the capital, Baghdad, witnessed a meeting between a technical delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Iraqi officials in the oil sector. The meeting discussed the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan region through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, but without reaching any agreement, according to the agency. Reuters. At the beginning of last June, the Oil Minister, Hayan Abdul Ghani, confirmed that Iraq is still in negotiations with the Turkish side, to resume exporting Kurdistan region's oil, through the port of Ceyhan.
