Shafaq News/ The State of Law Coalition, led by Nuri al-Maliki revealed today, Saturday, that there are "Iranian pressures" for Shiite political forces to run the provincial council elections with one electoral list.
The leader of the coalition, Rasool Radi Abu Hasna, told Shafaq News agency, "The Coordinating Framework Forces will run in the provincial council elections with more than one electoral list, and the State of Law Coalition has decided its position by running in the elections alone without any alliance."
And Abu Hasna indicated that "the forces of the coordination framework have not yet resolved the issue of electoral alliances to run in the provincial council elections, as the dialogues are continuing, and there is pressure on the coordination framework in order to run in the provincial council elections with one electoral list, and this pressure is internal and external."

He also stressed that "the Iranian desire is pushing for the Shiites to run in the provincial council elections with one electoral list, but there is a rejection of this approach, as the framework blocs and parties believe that this matter is not in their interest."

An official source in the coordination framework revealed to Shafaq News agency that leaders in the framework held meetings with prominent Iranian personalities in Tehran, to discuss future electoral alliances for the forces of the coordination framework before running for the Iraqi provincial and district council elections.
He said, "The leaders in the framework are (Qais Khazali, Hadi Al-Amiri, Faleh Al-Fayyad) who held several meetings in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with prominent personalities who witnessed the electoral alliances discussing the forces of the coordination framework to run in the provincial elections."
The source added that "these meetings came after the recent disagreements over the formation of electoral alliances," noting that "Khazali, Al-Amiri and Al-Fayyad returned to the capital, Baghdad, without reaching a final agreement on forming a large electoral alliance that includes all parties to the framework and the armed factions, especially since the Iranian desire was push in that direction."
There is a movement of political changes that are likely to affect the distribution of the electoral map in the upcoming competition for provincial council seats, after the expansion of "cracks" within the coordination framework as a whole and in some of its blocs as well, which heralds an "unusual surprise."
Some leaders in the coordination framework did not hide their grumbling about the coalition leader Nuri al-Maliki's "insistence" on "unifying the decision" and it is likely that they will leave at the earliest opportunity to run in the provincial elections on their own or join an alliance led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani or others.
Finally, the representative of the Sadikoun Bloc, Ali Turki al-Jamali, announced his withdrawal from the Sadikoun Parliamentary Bloc, the political wing of the League of the Righteous Movement and the Coordinating Framework, as a result of the recent dispute with the State of Law Coalition and its leader, Nuri al-Maliki, while he indicated that he would remain a follower of government corruption and the evidence and its referral to the competent courts.
Al-Jamali attacked the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, in televised statements, accusing his era as prime minister of causing the fall of "a third of Iraq" in the hands of ISIS and that it represented a stage of corruption, while social networking sites witnessed mutual reactions between the republicans of the two parties, as well as between the deputy himself and a member of the State of Law coalition. who defended al-Maliki.
The political blocs are preparing to participate in the provincial elections scheduled for the 18th of next December, and while observers expect the blocs affiliated with the coordination framework to get the lion's share, they suggested boycotting some of the emerging lists to make sure that they will not achieve what they aspire to.
