    Today, Sunday, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced the launch of the fourth batch of those covered by the social protection network.
    Al-Asadi stated in a press conference, "Today, the fourth batch of those covered by the social protection network was launched, with 65,186 of those who applied for social protection coverage, whether through the electronic window or paper coverage," noting that "the names will be announced through the ministry's website, and the new members can review the departments according to the announced schedules."
    Al-Asadi added, "The ministry previously launched three meals for those covered by social protection during the months of June and July," noting that "the first meal of those covered was launched at the beginning of June, and included about 118,000, while the second meal was in late June and included 85,000, and the third meal was launched at the beginning of July, and included about 64,000."
    He pointed out: "We will continue every two to three weeks to issue a new meal for those covered by social protection," pointing out that "about 616,660 applicants have been included in the social protection network since we assumed the tasks of the ministry and until now, after launching four meals for inclusion, while the ration card data has been updated for about 6 million families, for the purpose of handing them the double ration ration."
    He stressed, "We opened 40 additional social protection sub-committees since last week in the governorates of Baghdad, Nineveh, and Babil to reduce the momentum of reviews in these governorates," pointing to "continuing to open sub-committees in all other governorates to relieve pressure on social protection departments and reduce the burden on citizens."
