    The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the House of Representatives presented a set of demands that concern the lives and livelihood of citizens to the Federal Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, including sending the region's share of the budget or an advance for distributing employee salaries and other matters that are in the interest of citizens.

    Citizens' demands are at the forefront of our tasks
    Representative Susan Mansour, spokeswoman for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, says during a special statement to the official website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, PUKMEDIA: The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc has put citizens' demands at the forefront of its tasks.
    And she added: We talked with the Prime Minister about the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan Region, the problems that exist in some areas, and the provision of more services to citizens.

    The position of the Federal Prime Minister was positive
    Representative Susan Mansour says: The position of the federal prime minister was positive and confirmed that his relations with the Kurds are good and he will work to implement the demands we have presented.
    She added: The Prime Minister confirmed that he will work hard to implement the demands in accordance with the constitution, in addition to working to provide the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan Region as soon as possible.

    We put forward the demands of the citizens.
    The deputy rapporteur of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, Karwan Yarouis, told PUKMEDIA: Out of our sense of responsibility towards our citizens, we put forward several demands concerning the lives and livelihood of citizens before the federal prime minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani.
    He added: The Prime Minister confirmed that the federal government will send an advance to the Kurdistan Region as soon as possible to pay the salaries of employees until an agreement is reached on technical matters.

    The existing dispute is over non-oil imports
    Representative Karwan Yarois says: The Prime Minister confirmed that the differences between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government are about non-oil imports and what should be handed over to the federal government.
    He added: The Prime Minister confirmed that they will agree with the Kurdistan Regional Government according to the budget law, and a joint committee will be formed between the two sides to resolve this dispute because the issue of employee salaries has been delayed because of this problem.

    The Prime Minister promised to implement our demands
    MP Karwan Yarouis says: The demands submitted by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc to the Prime Minister relate to the demands of citizens and the problems that exist in some areas to be addressed, especially the issue of agricultural lands in Kirkuk Governorate.
    He added: The Prime Minister promised to deal with all the problems, and he dealt with some of them immediately, and decided to form a committee to deal with the problem of agricultural lands in Kirkuk.
    He added: The Prime Minister promised to study the rest of the demands and implement them in accordance with the constitution and applicable laws, and stressed that he would follow up on all demands.

    We did not submit any partisan or personal demands.
    Representative Karwan Yarouis says: We did not present any incapacitating demands before the Federal Prime Minister, all of which are related to the citizens' demands and aspirations.
    He added: We did not present any personal or partisan demand during our meeting with the Prime Minister, and we will continue to present and raise the problems and demands of citizens before the government or in Parliament because we are representatives of citizens, and we will continue to raise their problems and work to address them from the executive and legislative sides.

    The demands of the Patriotic Union Bloc
    This is a delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the House of Representatives, consisting of the head of the bloc and a number of its members, on Monday evening, 7/31/2023, visited Mr. Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, the Prime Minister.
    During a friendly meeting, the Patriotic Union bloc presented a set of immediate demands to the people of Kurdistan, before the Prime Minister, the most important of which are the following:
    1- Sending the region's share or advance, for the purpose of distributing the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, who have not received salaries for nearly two months, which is heavier Their burdens are more, and in this regard, the Prime Minister confirmed that funds will be sent to the region for the distribution of salaries in the near future.
    2- Allocating a budget, as a gift from the Prime Minister, to Halabja Governorate.
    3- Recognition of the Universities of Garmian, Germo, and Rabin by the Federal Ministry of Higher Education.
    4- Allocating a budget of two billion dinars to conduct a DNA examination of the remains of 171 Anfal of Karmian, whose remains are currently in the forensic medicine department in Baghdad.
    5- Completion of the Kopetpeh-Chamchamal water project, which will contribute to solving the problem of water scarcity in Chamchamal district, as a gift to the capital of Anfal in Kurdistan.
    6- Establishing a hospital for pre-diagnosis of cancer in Sulaymaniyah.
    7- Intensifying efforts to lift the air blockade on Sulaymaniyah International Airport.
    8- Solving the problem of agricultural lands for Kurdish farmers in Kirkuk and its outskirts. In this regard, the Prime Minister announced that he had spoken with the Federal Minister of Justice, and also decided to form a committee of the relevant ministries, joint operations, and provincial deputies.
    9- Taking into account the balance in administrative positions and opening appointments in Kirkuk and other Kurdish regions outside the administration of the region.
    10- Construction of dams and reservoirs to store water and confront drought and water scarcity.
