"Trying to maneuver" .. A parliamentary committee responds to Turkey regarding the conditions for exporting oil through Ceyhan
• Today 18:16

Information / special.
Today, Thursday, the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee responded to Turkey's conditions regarding resuming the export of Kurdistan region's oil through the Ceyhan pipeline, and while clarifying the Iraqi government's position on this file, it confirmed that Turkey is trying to "maneuver".

A member of the committee, Kazem Al-Touki, said in an interview with Al-Maloma agency, "The Parliamentary Oil Committee held more than one meeting with the Minister of Oil and the Prime Minister, and they agreed to take a single position on the issue of exporting the Kurdistan region's oil through the Turkish Ceyhan line."
He added, "The government's decision was to find alternatives to drain the quantities received from the Kurdistan region and benefit from them locally through government refineries and use them as oil products and export the remaining quantities to Jordan, given that it has a share of the oil and it bears the transportation costs; for the purpose of compensating OPEC's share, and not exposing Iraq to losses." ".
A member of the Parliamentary Oil Committee explained, "Turkey is maneuvering with the issue of exporting Kurdistan's oil through the Ceyhan line, for the purpose of obtaining gains, and for fear that the Iraqi government will file a lawsuit for the remaining export years, given that the decision of the International Arbitration Court was for the years 2018 and 2019 only."
And Al-Touki indicated that "Iraq is able to file a lawsuit against Turkey regarding the import of oil from Kurdistan from the period from 2019 to 2022."
Earlier, the economist, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, revealed that Turkey had set six “incapacitating” conditions for re-exporting Iraqi oil, while stressing that Ankara was calling for stopping the clearing of Baghdad and Tehran.
Ankara began using all possible papers to harm the Iraqi economy and export its oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, in addition to its failure to pay the fine imposed on it by international courts, after Iraq won an international lawsuit due to the illegality of its receipt of the oil of the Kurdistan region.
