Today, Sunday (August 20, 2023), the Ministry of Migration and Displacement warned against exploiting financial grants for returnees for electoral purposes, while affirming that these personalities will be legally prosecuted, regardless of their addresses and names, in order to obtain their just punishment.
The ministry stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today": "We noticed during the tour that the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, is conducting in the governorates to see the conditions of the ministry's care categories and her personal interviews with them, that there are attempts by some weak-minded people to exploit the issue of financial grants provided to returnees for electoral purposes by By collecting the cards of the displaced (the Qi Card) and deluding them to obtain approvals for the disbursement of the financial grant.
And she stressed that "at a time when we reject these inhumane behaviors altogether and in detail, the ministry will pursue these personalities legally, whatever their addresses and names are, in order to obtain their just punishment for exploiting the suffering of citizens."
And she indicated that "the ministry continues to inspect the conditions of the displaced and returnees in all governorates, and will conduct personal interviews with them to listen to them and solve problems related to the completion of their transactions," calling on "the displaced and returnees not to believe rumors and lies for the purpose of electoral exploitation by any party."
