The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received, on Monday, the head of the Bureau of Financial Supervision, Ammar Al-Mashhadani, to "discuss a number of files and laws related to the work of the Bureau, and ways to activate its oversight role during the current and coming period."
Al-Mandalawi stressed, according to a statement by his office, the need to implement proactive control operations, to combat financial and administrative corruption to preserve public money, and to follow up on the measures taken by the Bureau Order Committee No. Professionalism and competence in selecting the people who manage this important file.
Al-Mandalawi expressed, "Parliament's support for the work of all oversight institutions, by issuing legislation and decisions that enhance the tasks and duties entrusted to it."
Al-Mandalawi called for "the importance of completing the final financial accounts for the previous years, and coordinating with the House of Representatives and its concerned committees to achieve integration in the oversight aspect, in a way that contributes to striking corruption and its supporters and preserving the people's goods, and to consider the possibility of allocating a number of job grades to the Bureau in coordination with the Federal Service Council according to a selection committee." A competent authority formed by the Financial Supervisory Board.
