, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi called, on Wednesday, to reconsider lagging investment projects, while stressing the need to expedite the completion of the Basmaya housing project.

Al-Mandalawi called on the Investment Authority to "reconsider lagging and stalled projects, follow up on companies operating in Iraq and withdraw licenses from them," stressing "the need to expedite the handling of problems with the Korean (Hanwha) company and restore work on the (Bismaya) residential project."
Al-Mandalawi stressed, "Iraq possesses all the ingredients for the success of investment in various sectors, in addition to the improvement of security and the availability of capabilities and scientific expertise," pointing to "the importance of exploiting these foundations to achieve unprecedented sustainable development in our country."
