On Tuesday, the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Jabbar Odeh, accused America of giving the green light to the Kurdish forces in order to ignite the flames of sedition in Kirkuk.

In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Odeh said, "The events of yesterday evening in Kirkuk almost got out of control after targeting important security leaders directly by infiltrators known for their political loyalty, in a way that confirms that there are efforts to create a big fire in the city of Al-Takhi."
He added, "The events of Kirkuk are a game with fire, and the parties that sponsor such disturbances must realize that any destabilization of security will not remain within a specific geography, but will lead everyone to labyrinths with unimaginable consequences."
He pointed out that "what is happening in Kirkuk is not far from the US embassy, which could not cause any unrest unless it had a role, even if it was unannounced," pointing out that "Washington's policy in Iraq is instability and creating crises."
