Al-Maliki said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The amendment to the amnesty law arrived late in the House of Representatives, and the paragraphs of the law in its current form are very brief.”
He added, "The general amnesty law has many problems and objections, but the bylaws of the House of Representatives require us not to discuss the details of the law until after reading the law."
Al-Maliki expected: “The Second Amendment Law to the General Amnesty Law will be presented for second reading during the Council’s sessions this week,” noting that “the law will be subject to long discussions in order to agree on a formula that does not allow the release of terrorists.”
The Parliamentary Legal Committee decided, on Saturday, to send the draft law on the second amendment to the General Amnesty Law to the Presidency of Parliament. Ended / 25 h
