    The State of Kuwait handed over to Iraq a memorandum of protest against what was stated in the ruling of the Federal Supreme Court regarding the unconstitutionality of the law ratifying the agreement regulating navigation in Khor Abdullah. A statement followed by (Al-Zaman) yesterday said that (Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Arab World Affairs in Kuwait, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Bakr He met with the Iraqi ambassador to Kuwait, Al-Manhal Al-Safi, and handed him a note of protest from Kuwait regarding what was mentioned in the merits of the ruling issued by the Federal Government regarding the agreement concluded between the two countries regarding the regulation of maritime navigation in Khor Abdullah, which was ratified by Parliament in accordance with Law 42 of 2013, And by the Kuwaiti National Assembly pursuant to Law No. 4 of 2013, which was deposited with the United Nations). The Federal Reserve had previously ruled that the law ratifying the navigation agreement between the two countries was unconstitutional. The Convention on the Regulation of Maritime Navigation is an international border agreement between Iraq and Kuwait, ratified on November 25, 2013, in implementation of Resolution No. 833 issued by the Security Council in 1993 after several resolutions following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, and in completion of the procedures for demarcating the borders between the two countries, and setting Its coordinates are accurate based on the agreement concluded between the two countries after the independence of Kuwait in 1961. On the other hand, the UN Security Council decided to end the work of the investigation team to enhance accountability for crimes committed by ISIS at the request of the Iraqi government. A statement received by Al-Zaman yesterday said: “The Council voted unanimously to end the mandate of the UNITAD team after a year, at the request of the Iraqi government.”[/size]
