    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

    Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, confirmed that the federal government and the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government must reach a settlement to resolve the problems between them, pointing out that Russian companies will continue to work in Iraq. 

    Sergey Lavrov said, in a press interview, that Moscow welcomes the dialogue between the Iraqi government and the local regional government in Iraqi Kurdistan, stressing the need for the two sides to reach a settlement with each other. 

    This came on the sideslines of the Russian Foreign Minister's participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, where he answered journalists' questions regarding Erbil-Baghdad relations, the Russian war in Ukraine, as well as the work of Russian companies in Iraq.

    Sergey Lavrov indicated during his answer that "Russia is ready to negotiate with Ukraine." 

    Regarding Iraq, Lavrov stated that "Russian companies continue to operate in Iraq." 

    The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that Russia “welcomes the dialogue between the Baghdad government and the local government in Erbil,” pointing out the need for the two sides to reach a settlement with each other.[/rtl]
