A senior US official said on Tuesday that the United States still has about $5.4 billion additional in military aid to Kiev.
The official, whose name was not revealed by RIA Novosti, said: “These amounts will allow the United States to supply Ukraine with weapons and military equipment from current reserves.”
He added, "Out of the $25.9 billion approved by Congress last year to replenish US military reserves that were exhausted due to the aid provided to Ukraine, only $1.6 billion remains."
He continued: "I don't want to guess how long this might last because there are a lot of variables that need to be taken into account."
American media reported earlier, citing Pentagon officials, that the remaining funds should be sufficient to supply Ukraine with weapons for approximately 6 months.End/25
