    {Local: Al-Furat News} The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today, Thursday, the launch of the electronic application form for the morning (parallel) private government education channel in public universities for the academic year 2023/2024.
    The Ministry’s media stated in a statement received by {Al-Furat News} that “The Ministry has set application controls that the applicant’s GPA should not be less than three grades above the minimum for admission to the colleges of the medical group, four grades below the minimum for admission to the colleges of the engineering group, and five grades below the minimum.” For admission to colleges of science, six grades are higher than the minimum for admission to other specializations. 
    She added, "While students who graduated from the previous academic year 2022/2021 and the current academic year 2022/2023 can apply to this channel, the Ministry confirms that the student’s previous admission (central, direct, evening, private) will be canceled if he begins studying within the parallel education channel." He has no right to return to his previous acceptance.” 
    She continued, "Application is done electronically through its portal, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]  , without the need to activate their exam numbers in public universities." 
    She noted that “submission continues until the end of official working hours on Tuesday, 11/7/2023.” 
    In this context, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to exempt continuing students and new students at universities within the private government education channel from tuition fees for all levels of study at a rate of 50% for the academic year 2023/2024.
