     Member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Salah Al-Tamimi, confirmed on Thursday the adoption of 6 security measures to reduce counterfeiting crimes in Iraq.
    Al-Tamimi said in an interview with Al-Ma’louma, “Forgery is one of the crimes that has recorded high rates in recent years, especially in dollar institutions, in addition to funds, whether local or foreign.”
    He added, "The Interior Ministry and its specialized security formations succeeded, through 6 important steps, in significantly reducing the rates of fraud, especially with the formation of teams that succeeded in detecting many of them, in addition to using advanced tools in auditing operations and making changes in the mechanisms of dealing between institutions and departments."
    He pointed out that "there are dozens of cases now before the courts documenting the security services' efforts to uncover fraud operations in various departments and institutions, with hundreds of victims from different segments."
    The mechanisms of forgery depend on documents, money, and official transactions, which are conducted in professional ways by networks and gangs
