    [rtl]Today, Monday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the formation of a delegation headed by its Minister, Ziad Ali Fadel, to negotiate with the Turkmen Gas Company to import 25 million cubic meters of its gas, while confirming that the availability of this quantity will meet the need of 6 stations by 100 percent.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The Ministry's Director General of Central Region Electricity Production, Ali Ahmed, said, "According to the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, a delegation was formed, headed by Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel, in order to negotiate with the Turkmenistan Gas Company to supply additional quantities of natural gas through Iran, amounting to about 25 million.” cubic meters daily.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He explained, “These quantities are to meet the growing need for electrical energy,” noting that “the contract concluded with the Iranian Gas Company aims to secure the stations’ needs for natural fuel.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]He added, “There is a link between the southern region and the central production region, and thus it will contribute to increasing the stability of the provision of natural gas, in addition to its impact on the stability of the provision of electrical energy in the event of delays or technical problems in Iran."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He added: “If the quantity is available, the need will be filled 100 percent for the units that operate on natural gas, represented by the Mansouriya, Al-Sadr and Bismaya stations, in addition to part of the second southern Baghdad gas stations, and the Al-Quds and Al-Taji stations,” pointing out that “the steam stations operate on raw fuel.” And heavy, in addition to gas stations that operate with local heavy fuel.”[/rtl]
