    On Tuesday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi announced the names of the first group of those covered by the soft loans.
    A statement by the Ministry of Labor, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, stated that “Minister Al-Assadi announced the names of the first group of those covered by soft loans within the livelihood service of social protection beneficiaries, numbering (2,826) beneficiaries.”
    Al-Asadi added, withdrawing the statement, that “his ministry, from the first day of opening registration for the livelihood service after obtaining the approval of the Council of Ministers, allocated 25% of the loan amount allocated to the Department of Labor and Vocational Training, amounting to 400 billion dinars, including those of working age who are covered by the social protection system.” Thousands of applications for loans to establish small and medium enterprises.
     For his part, the head of the Social Protection Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, referred to “sending SMS messages to those covered by the Department of Labor and Vocational Training calling for them to visit the department for the purpose of completing the procedures for granting loans.”
    Al-Mousawi continued, "The names included will continue to be granted social assistance for a period of three months after they receive the loan."
    It is noteworthy that the amount of loans ranges between 20, 30 and 50 million dinars.
