Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, praised the Iraqi government’s announcement of arresting a number of those responsible for the attack on the US Embassy in the capital, Baghdad, last week.
Romanowski said in a tweet on the X platform: We commend the Prime Minister, the Iraqi security services and the judiciary for their success in arresting a number of those responsible for the terrorist attacks against our embassy, the National Security Service and other government buildings.
She stressed that the United States is committed to close coordination with the Iraqi government to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
She indicated that the American personnel present in the country at the invitation of Iraq are safe, and that Iraq's sovereignty and independence are protected.
On the seventh of this month, the American embassy in the Green Zone in the center of the capital, Baghdad, was bombed with several missiles, which sparked Washington's anger, with the Iraqi government pledging to pursue the perpetrators of the attack.
