The Ministry of Electricity announced, on Monday, the success of its plan to secure energy for electoral centers, while noting that it had not recorded any breach or incident.
Ministry spokesman Ahmed Moussa said, in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by “Al-Iqtisad News”, that “a special plan for the elections was prepared and covered all electoral centers and all regions,” noting that “Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel was keen to Conducting field tours that included the National Control Center and the distribution control centers in Baghdad in Al-Waziriya and Jamila. He continued, “Our effort was consistent to make the elections a success with the authorities, whether the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense, or the Commission, and we provided a full service to make this electoral event a success, and the service completely covered everyone,” explaining, “No violations, emergencies, or accidents were recorded.”
He continued, “The system was fully monitored at the level of production stations, transmission lines, and distribution networks, and no symptom, problem, or defect was detected in the coverage of the election centers.”
