The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement to Al-Sumaria News, “The Sudanese fifty-first regular session of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url], during which the overall general situation in the country was discussed, the decisions presented on its agenda were reviewed, and special directives and recommendations were taken regarding them.”
During the session, the Prime Minister directed that “the 25th and 26th of December will be an official holiday for Christian citizens, on the occasion of the glorious Christmas holidays.”

Within the framework of the Prime Minister’s previous directives to broadcast Iraqi League matches for free, the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url] agreed to “pay the Iraqi Media Network the amount of the contract for broadcasting Iraqi Football League matches for the season (2023-2024) on the Iraqi Sports Channel, amounting to 10 billion dinars, in one payment to the Federation.” Iraqi Football Association upon contracting.
The statement continued, “It was approved to continue implementing Cabinet Resolution (358 of 2021) regarding the debts of media institutions, and to extend its effectiveness until the end of the fiscal year of the federal budget on December 31, 2025, while implementing the instructions issued by the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3238106360/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Ministry of Finance[/url] in this regard, to the extent not "is inconsistent with this decision."

In support of the federal government for the citizens of the region’s governorates, the statement indicated that “the recommendation of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3272199274/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%8A/ar/]Ministerial Council[/url] for the Economy (230333 Q) was approved, which includes reducing the price of white oil product in the Kurdistan region of Iraq to (250) dinars/liter, instead of the previous price (500) dinars.” / liter, for a period of four months, starting December 1, 2023.”
The statement added, "The recommendation of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3272199274/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%8A/ar/]Ministerial Council[/url] for Social Services (23032KH) was approved regarding approval of allocating the plot of land numbered (779/2m155) on [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/470894530/%D8%B7%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%82 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D8%B6%D8%B1/ar/]Al-Khader Road[/url], which belongs to the Hamdaniya Municipality Directorate, without allowance, to the Syriac Catholic Diocese of Mosul and its dependencies, to establish the headquarters of the Episcopal Presidency." For the Diocese of Mosul.

It also approved, “The recommendation of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3272199274/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%8A/ar/]Ministerial Council[/url] for Human Development (23035 B), which includes obligating all governorates to provide full cooperation and the required facilities to implement the provisions of Social Protection Law No. (11 of 2014), related to building and furnishing social care departments and subcommittees, in coordination with the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3109220332/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%85%D9%84/ar/]Ministry of Labor[/url] and Social Affairs.” Social".

2. The [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1706286896/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B5%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%A9 %D9%88%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%86/ar/]Ministry of Industry and Minerals[/url]’ commitment to the provisions of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/822061583/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%8A/ar/]Federal Financial Management Law[/url] (6 of 2019) and submitting its required data to the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, no later than the end of March 2024.
The Council also agreed to amend its resolution No. (705 of 2023), according to what was proven. In the letter of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3238106360/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Ministry of Finance[/url], regarding the signing with the Japanese side regarding the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2628866363/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D9%83%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D9%84%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%84%D9%8A/ar/]Japan International Cooperation Agency[/url] (JICA) loan related to the project to improve water supply in Samawah.
The Council authorized the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sign a memorandum of understanding regarding exemption from visa requirements, for holders of diplomatic, private, and service passports, between the government of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url] and the government of the Dominican Republic, and a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation between the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url] and the Dominican Republic, based on the provisions of the Constitution, and prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Regarding the development of the regions, the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2502332837/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%B7%D9%8A%D8%B7/ar/]Ministry of Planning[/url] is responsible for taking the necessary measures to transfer the allocations for the above projects, in accordance with the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3587157533/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%B2%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Federal Budget Law[/url], and to remove them from the budget of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2502332837/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%B7%D9%8A%D8%B7/ar/]Ministry of Planning[/url] and add them to the budget of the concerned authorities, in the amount of 1,000 billion dinars for the budget of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1631087552/%D8%B5%D9%86%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%82 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%86%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Development Fund[/url] for the year 2023, and includes various projects for the sectors of education, industry, Agriculture, digital transformation, environment, and housing, in addition to adding allocations of 500 billion dinars to the poorest governorates, namely, the governorates of Muthanna, Diwaniyah, and Maysan.”
The [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url] approved “the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3238106360/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Ministry of Finance[/url]’s disbursement of an operational advance of (10-20%) to the companies of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1279383015/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%A6%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Ministry of Water Resources[/url], to which work is referred regarding the implementation of the Eastern Al-Jazeera Irrigation Project in Nineveh Governorate, based on the controls attached to the instructions for implementing government contracts (2 of 2014).” ".

The Council also agreed to amend its resolution No. (705 of 2023), according to what was proven. The Council authorized the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sign a memorandum of understanding regarding exemption from visa requirements, for holders of diplomatic, private, and service passports, between the government of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url] and the government of the Dominican Republic, and a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation between the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url] and the Dominican Republic, based on the provisions of the Constitution, and prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
