The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid, stressed today, Sunday, the necessity of coordination with the House of Representatives to issue laws related to citizens’ issues.
A statement from the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at Baghdad Palace, the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi,” indicating that “during the meeting, the political, security and economic developments in the country were discussed.” The country, in addition to developments on the regional and international arenas.”
According to the statement, Rashid stressed “the necessity of continuing coordination between the Presidency of the Republic and the House of Representatives to issue laws and legislation related to citizens’ issues,” noting “the importance of establishing security and stability in the country, strengthening national unity, supporting the government in implementing its governmental program, paying attention to citizens’ demands, and working to implement them.”
For his part, Al-Mandalawi appreciated “the President of the Republic’s keenness to continue coordination between the Presidency of the Republic and the House of Representatives in a way that serves citizens’ issues,” stressing that “the House of Representatives is determined to approve legislation and complete constitutional entitlements in a way that contributes to improving services and improving the living conditions of citizens.”
