The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, submitted his resignation, before Yemen’s legal appearance before the judiciary as a member of the governorate’s councils.
Sources told Mawazine News that "Al-Eidani submitted his resignation from the position of Governor of Basra in order to complete the legal process of Yemen as a member of the Provincial Council."
He pointed out that "Al-Eidani has set next Saturday as the date for holding the first session of the Provincial Council and then preparing to elect the governor."
