[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani confirmed the ministry’s keenness to build a fleet of oil tankers, befitting the development witnessed by the oil sector.
During his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Norwegian Bat-Series Company Pune, Phil Haucken, and his accompanying delegation, he said: “The Ministry seeks to build a number of oil tankers to strengthen the national carrier fleet and activate its commercial role in transporting crude oil and petroleum products.”
According to a statement by the Ministry of Oil, Abdul Ghani appreciated the role of BAT Sirius in cooperating with the Iraqi Oil Tanker Company in building the two tankers, Sumer and Akkad, and their joining the company’s commercial work. During the meeting, according
