    The Iraqi Academics Syndicate considered that the classifications that Iraqi universities compete for are “fake,” at a time when it counted about 600 offices inside and outside the country practicing academic fraud in writing research and dissertations.
    The head of the Syndicate of Academics, Dr. Muhannad Al-Hilal, said, “The classifications that Iraqi universities compete for are mostly commercial and fictitious, with the exception of well-known international classifications such as “Shanghai,” “The” “Times,” and others,” noting that “those classifications are websites that universities compete for and put pressure on.” To the teacher for publication therein,” according to the official newspaper.
    He added that "teachers are forced to go to offices that practice academic fraud in writing research and dissertations," revealing that "their number has reached 600 offices inside and outside Iraq, targeting only Iraqi researchers and graduate students."
    Al-Hilal pointed out that "the Ministry has become an institution that promotes some websites and offices, calling for reducing these phenomena that directly affect the standards of academic integrity by verifying these implications."
    He warned of "large and many penalties that may face those who publish research in these containers, stressing the existence of anonymous journals, which are a field of experiments, the victims of which are the professor, the graduate student, and the researcher. Accordingly, they must be carefully scrutinized by scientific and research staff to be a successful and reliable alternative to... The chaos of publishing and containers.
