Agriculture: The soft loan fund will provide support to youth agricultural projects

Yesterday, Saturday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced an initiative to activate full-time agricultural workers, while confirming that the soft loan fund will provide support for agricultural projects for young people.
Director General of the Agricultural Investments Department in the Ministry, Iyad Al-Bolani, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry of Agriculture, according to the direction of its Minister Abbas Jabr Al-Maliki, will announce an initiative to activate the issue of full-time agricultural workers, as well as an opportunity to announce agricultural spaces for those wishing to work in the agricultural sector.”
He added, "The Ministry will adopt successful initiatives by some young people who need agricultural support, including providing a certain space, agricultural machinery, or financial support by providing loans," indicating that "the conference will be a space and platform for these young people to express their visions and ideas in this field."
Al-Bolani stressed that “the government, led by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture, is ready to support this segment because it will contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, and the sector’s contribution is important in reviving the national economy.”
He pointed out that “the Central Bank’s initiative, amounting to 6 and a half trillion, can solve many issues if it is activated and funds are allocated to it, not only through the Agricultural Bank, but through all government and private banks, as it proceeded along three paths, the first being housing, industry, and the agriculture path.” .
He explained, “The Ministry has a soft loan fund that was approved by the Minister of Agriculture for small projects, as well as large projects that need funds.”
He explained that “the Ministry will support those wishing to enter the agricultural sector with support from the government, especially in the field of modern technologies, in addition to providing the environment, the most important of which is that there be land and space that can achieve
high-efficiency production.”
