The Minister of Planning is following up on the Statistics Authority’s preparations to conduct the general population census before the end of this year

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Muhammad Ali Tamim, confirmed that preparations are continuing to conduct the general census of population and housing, before the end of the current year 2024, indicating that the census project is one of the basic priorities of the government program, because it represents a major development project.
The Minister said while chairing a meeting of those concerned with implementing the General Population Census, which included the two Undersecretaries of the Ministry, the head of the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority, a number of the Authority’s general directors, the heads of the analysis committees, and representatives of the international consulting company and the National Census Advisor, Dr. Mahdi Al-Alaq, that the Ministry and the government are continuing to Completing this project, by providing all supplies and requirements and completing all work stages within the specified time frames.
During the meeting, the Minister was briefed on the details and developments of the work in preparation for implementing the census./End 3[/rtl]
