[size=45]The White House announcement of an expected visit by Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to US President Joe Biden, sparked limited-level protest movements in front of the Iraqi embassy in Washington, by the sister of the Israeli-Russian academic Elizabeth Tsurkov, who was kidnapped in Baghdad a year ago.[/size]
[size=45]Tsurkov's kidnapped sister, Emma, urged the US State Department to declare Iraq a “state sponsor of terrorism,” and called on the White House to make the Sudanese meeting conditional on the Prime Minister’s arrangement for the release of her sister.[/size]
[size=45]Emma Tsurkov said during an event outside the Iraqi Embassy in Washington: “I am horrified that a Sudanese is allowed to shake hands with President Biden while his other hand holds the keys to my sister’s shackles.”[/size]
