Today, Sunday (April 14, 2024), a security source revealed the fact that Iranian missiles fell in eastern Iraq, while pointing out that the situation in general is calm and stable in all regions and there is no state of security alert.
The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "After social media platforms were buzzing for many hours about the fall of Iranian missiles and marches in 4 areas within the borders of Diyala Governorate in eastern Iraq, a comprehensive and immediate audit was ordered to determine the truth."
The source added, “It has not been proven that any Iranian missile or march fell in any area,” noting that “the sounds of strong explosions heard in some areas of the border strip are from the missile launch bases, whose echoes reached long distances, in addition to the decline of the drones’ flight, which traveled for tens of kilometers.” In the atmosphere of Diyala from some axes . ”
Media sources reported on Sunday that Iranian drones crossed the Syrian border towards the occupied territories.
The sources said, "The Iranian marches that started a short while ago are now crossing the Syrian border and continuing their march toward Tel Aviv."
Meanwhile, military sources said that Syria has placed Russian-made Pantsir surface-to-air defense systems around the capital, Damascus, and the main bases on high alert in anticipation of an Israeli strike.
The sources added that they expect Israel to direct its retaliation against army bases and facilities where pro-Iran armed groups are based, after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard said it launched dozens of drones and missiles towards specific targets in Israel.
