Mawazine News - Baghdad,
political affairs expert, Ghanem Al-Aifan, called on the Taqadum Party to reconsider their slogan “We are a nation” after these events.
Al-Eifan said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “at the beginning of the elections, when the Taqaddum Party launched the slogan ‘We Are a Nation’, this slogan carried with it an ideological aspect, and Al-Halbousi, the leader of the party, must reconsider this slogan after the recent events.”
He added, "Many see Salem Al-Issawi as the most worthy to obtain the presidency of Parliament, stressing that the most likely candidate next Saturday is Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani to obtain the position of Speaker of Parliament and resolve this crisis."
He pointed out that "Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani has faced a lot of accusations that he does not fully represent the Sunni political orientation, pointing out that
the slogan of the Taqaddum Party, 'We are a nation,' needs to be reconsidered after these recent events."
