Al-Aliwi told Al-Maalouma Agency that "the committee followed up on all the proposals submitted to it by members of the House of Representatives regarding the law, in addition to hosting the Secretary-General of the Popular Mobilization Forces and listening to the Mobilization Forces' vision regarding the draft law."
He stressed that the law will allow the continued promotion of martyred officers to the rank of colonel, as well as those promoted from soldier to deputy officer, excellent rank.
He explained that "the committee is in the process of unifying visions until it is submitted to Parliament with the aim of voting on the draft law, which will not take time and will see the light of day as soon as possible."
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives completed the first reading of the draft law on service and retirement for members of the Popular Mobilization Authority on the twenty-fourth of last month. End / 25m
