Committee member Mahdi Taqi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The law will be presented for voting in the next parliamentary session," indicating that "everyone is seeking to pass it because it serves the mujahideen in this body that has made many sacrifices."
He added, "The Popular Mobilization Forces are an integral part of the security system and have contributed to confronting the terrorist ISIS and liberating Iraq. They have provided thousands of martyrs and wounded in defense of the homeland, and therefore need a law to regulate their work."
