14 officials in the Kurdistan Regional Government resigned due to political differences.
Late on Thursday night, Gorran Movement decided to withdraw from the Kurdistan Regional Government and the local governments in the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Halabja and the administrations of Garmian and Raparin.
This decision comes after the movement's leadership asked its ministers and officials in these institutions to submit their resignations and abide by the movement's decision.
The most prominent officials who submitted their resignations:
Mustafa Sayed Qadir, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region.
Kostan Mohammed, Minister of Social Affairs in the regional government.
Awat Sheikh Janab, Minister of Finance and Economy in the regional government.
Gilwan Adel Shukor, Director General of Social Control in Karmian.
Sulaymaniyah Governor Havel Abu Bakr
Dr. Sirwan Mohammed, Director General of Health in Karmian.
Shadia Hussein, General Manager of Agriculture in Karmian.
Karwan Raouf, Director of Karmian Silos.
Hello Salah Shawsheen, Director General of the Investment Authority.
Hawta Aziz Zanganeh, Director of Shorsh District.
Dr. Mohsen Adeeb, Director General of Culture in Sulaymaniyah.
Tiha Mohammed Qader, Director of Sarkala District in Kifri.
Diari Westa Aziz, Director General of Libraries in the region.
Azad Hassan Ahmed, Head of the Karmian Branch of the Kurdistan Teachers Union.
