A security source reported on Thursday that two Chinese engineers survived “tribal” fire in Maysan Governorate, southern Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]The source said, "A vehicle belonging to Maysan Oil Engineers (a Chinese company) was subjected to an armed attack by a group affiliated with the Al-Sawaed clan (the Manea family)."[/size]
[size=45]The source explained that "the gunmen had asked the engineers for bribes, and after the engineers refused, they attacked their vehicle with Kalashnikov and BK-47 weapons. There were no human casualties, only material damage."[/size]
[size=45]The source pointed out that "the engineers filed a complaint against the militants, and (14) people from the house of (Manea) were arrested by the Iraqi army and the Al-Mashrah Police Station in Maysan Governorate."[/size]
