    National Union announced that Iraqi journalists, for the conclusion of the first training and Reshetha to the theme of "citizen journalism , digital media, confirming its intention to establish other workshops in theprovinces to be available to the largest number of participants.    
    The union said in a statement today, Sunday, that" the training workshop , the first on the subject citizen journalism and digital media, concluded on Saturday (24 September current 2016), with the participation of 14 young women and young activists and continuous on social networking sites , "noting that" the participants gained during the three days of the workshop, skills related to the use of smart devices, especially phones, in daily Events documenting, and monitoring positive and negative social phenomena, and communicate with the media and social networking sites, as well as introduce them to the basics of news and the rules and ethics of it. " 
    said national union of Iraqi journalists, that" the participants in the workshop which was held with the support of the national Fund to support democracy ( NED), flexed at the close of models of training their work , which spotted the different phenomena that surround them, and tried through which the delivery of information that the reader using their smartphones, as well as short video segments , which they completed to be shared later on YouTube and let other people know it , "indicating that" lectures workshop delivered by Dr. will Jubouri, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Information , University of Baghdad, Dr. Bushra Jamil al-Rawi, a school of digital material Education in the Faculty of Information , University of Baghdad , "and dealt with the concept and advantages of citizen journalism or the so - called participatory journalism or public or alternative media, and the importance of citizen participation in them. " 
    she stressed the union, that it" will continue during the next term to organize other sessions in this regard in anumber of provinces to be available to the largest number of participants, "pointing out that it" has already organized several training workshops and courses for the development of the media and the professional reality Press and capabilities. "
