    organization moved from Haweeja area, 25 km south of Kirkuk, to Kirkuk city to conduct terrorist attacks.


    In a statement, all the terrorists who participated in the attack against Kirkuk were arrested, amid confessions that "sleeping cells" participated in the attack.


    It added that the attackers started their operation on 21 October, 2016 in small groups to be gathered to conduct their attacks against the security and administrative departments.


    "Investigations are going on with another groups who were also charged with the attack, which results shall be open to the public in due time", the statement added.



    On 25 October, 2016, Kirkuk Governor Najm al-Deen Kareem announced the killing of 81 attackers.
