Central bank sales up to more than $ 148 million today
Central Bank of Iraq, announced the sale of more than $ 148 million, an auction sale of foreign currency in the first days of the current Alasbuah. The bank said in a press statement on Sunday, "The size of the amount sold today reached 148 million, 395 thousand, and $ 914, priced at 1182 dinars to the dollar exchange rate, with the participation of 34 banks and 15 financial company to convert."
The bank pointed out, that "the amount of remittances amounted to 71 million and 25 thousand and $ 718, while the credits amounted to 51 million and 860 thousand and $ 196, while the quantity sold was 25 million in cash and 510,000 dollars." The statement said, "The amounts transferred to the accounts of banks selling abroad was priced at 1190 dinars per dollar, and the cash sales price was 1182 dinars per dollar."
The bank, had announced earlier, a decrease of Iraq's foreign exchange reserves to $ 50 billion, attributing the reasons for the decrease to the budget and the fall in oil revenue deficit.
Both state and local markets have seen in the past weeks, a remarkable rise in the dollar's exchange rate against the dinar as the price of $ 100 reached more than 131,000 dinars
