    The Iraqi Association of Banks, yesterday, for the establishment of the Conference means tocombat money laundering and financing ofterrorism in Baghdad on Saturday, with theparticipation of Iraqi and international stakeholders, and with specialists predicted that the conference contributes to reveal a lot of specific issues such suspicious transactions and actors involved with, an enemy that Iraq " is not suffering "of money laundering but" theft of public money or smuggled, stressing the importance of such events. 
    the executive director of the Association of banks Ali Tariq, in an interview (long - Presse) that "Baghdad will add Saturday approved (third from December 2016 ) compliance and anti - money laundering and terrorism financing Conference , "noting that" the conference will be held with the participation of concerned authorities as well as international organizations and personalities specialized. " 
    He added that" the Association is working around an intensive preparation for the conference because of its importance for Iraq and the world to reduce this phenomenon pariah ", pointing out that " the conference will discuss important topics such as the role of the Iraqi official authorities and international organizations in thefight against money laundering." 
    turn predicted financial expert Faisal Aziz al - Mashhadani, in an interview (long - Presse), that " theconference will contribute to expose a lot of the special operations of the funds and those laundering or countries involved issues , as well as expose the twisted ways in which some parties and individuals in this regard , "calling on the government and central bank representatives of the anti - money laundering Office to" take an active role in reducing this scourge plaguing Iraq and denigrates Aalem. " 
    For his part , the academic said , and member of the Economic Reform Institute, Rashid Muhanna, in aninterview (long - Presse) that "Iraq was not in a money - laundering operations, but smuggled , " attributing it to "money laundering operations conducted through tools do not exist in Iraq , although I found it very few, such as the trade of drugs, weapons or white slavery and other types of illegal trade. " 
    Muhanna said that "Iraq is suffering from stealing public money or smuggling money," she returned to " theestablishment of events and conferences concerned with money laundering operations useful to Iraq to cope with such challenges in the future." 
    The House of Representatives voted during its Chapter 23 of the First Legislative second legislative year ,which was held on Wednesday (September 16 2015) to the draft Anti - Money Laundering Act and thefinancing of terrorism.
