The Christmas Card Empty The Christmas Card

    Post by csd9013 Sat 24 Dec 2016, 6:49 am

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

One morning as I arrived home, a stranger walked up to me and handed me a Christmas card as I was getting out of my car. In haste, she said, “God bless you,” as she walked off. I shouted, “Thank you!” and went into the house. When I opened the card, a one hundred dollar bill fell out and tears immediately came pouring down my face. I ran outside, looking for her and couldn’t find her. She was gone. I had seen how these things happen to others, but this was the first time it had ever happened to me.

Because I knew how great that moment felt, I decided to do the same for someone else. So I put a one hundred dollar bill in the same Christmas card and gave it to a woman walking in my neighborhood. I told her, “God bless you” and walked away. The only thing was, she chased me down and thanked me with tears in her eyes. I thought to myself, “No, this is supposed to be one of those angelic-like experiences where I disappear! Don’t chase me down!” HA!

God knows exactly what you’re going through. He sees your need and He will provide for you and your family. If He has to touch a stranger’s heart, He will. And when He does come through for you, make sure you pay it forward and bless someone else. It is more blessed to give than to receive (see Acts 20:35).

Pray with me. Thank you Lord that you care for us and you meet every single one of our needs. Your resources are unlimited and you have many ways to get a blessing into our hands. Bless us Lord, not just so we can eat, but so that we can help feed others too. Thank you for providing supernaturally and for being good to us and through us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
