    Twilight News / Cabinet held its regular Tuesday, January 31, 2017, headed by Haider al-Abadi.
    According to the statement of the Office Abadi responded to Twilight News, the session included the following:
    At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadi welcomed the ministers of defense and interior after the House vote on them yesterday and carrying out their constitutional right.
    With regard to the decisions of the Council of Ministers directed the Ministries of Defense and Interior to tighten security measures to ensure the work of the companies and establishments operating in the liberated areas and other areas has been issued.
    Cabinet was briefed on the merits of the previous resolutions of the Council on investment and rehabilitation contract between the General Company for Iron and Steel and one of the investment companies and to activate the productive and avoid the activity state of losses Council of Ministers decided to approve the recommendations of the Council of the General Company for Iron and Steel Department and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to proceed with the contracts for the rehabilitation of laboratories with a commitment to energy production agreed to turn the company from losing to winning and can secure its members' salaries and profits.
    It was also discussed activating the National Oil Company Law No. 123 of 1967 and amendments thereto were steering by the Legal Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to prepare a study. 
    It was also the subject of a study of national gas companies and individuals over the possibility of a special law or processed within the law.
    The Council decided to amend the decision to facilitate the project of constructing 130 schools in the marshlands.
    The Council also decided to approve the purchase of relief materials and household and establishment, maintenance and restoration of the camps.
    The Council of Ministers held an extra session to complete the vote on a number of other decisions.
