Jaafari called for Britain to facilitate the granting of (visa) to the Iraqis

called on Foreign Minister Ibrahim al - Jaafari, on Saturday, the British ambassador to Iraq, Frank Baker, to open the British Consulate in Basra, as well as the granting of visas (visa) for Iraqis wishing to visit his country.
According to a ministry statement, he received the "morning", that "al - Jaafari met with Baker, and discussed with him bilateral relations between Baghdad and London, and ways of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, as well as review the overall situation on the security and political arenas, and the war effort against Daesh terrorist gangs" .
He called on Jaafari to "open the Consular Section of the British in Baghdad, and the opening of the consulate in Basra, as well as to facilitate the granting of visas procedures (visa) for Iraqis wishing to visit Britain," praising " the positions of Britain 's support for Iraq in its war against Daesh gangs terrorist."
The minister pointed out that "we aspire supported by Britain to Iraq to get a seat at UNESCO for the period from 2017 till 2021 , " stressing the "activation of the decisions of the Iraqi-British Economic Council, and enhance cooperation to increase trade and investment between the two countries."
He said al - Jaafari said "everyone to take responsibility for security and stability support in the region, and the world , " stressing " the need to confront terrorism through the criminalization of takfiri thought, drying up its funding to prevent its spread."
For his part, Baker stressed his country would continue to support Iraq in all fields, and to ensure that the issue of the opening of the Consular Section in Iraq, in addition to facilitate the granting of visas (visa) for Iraqis wishing to visit Britain and overcome the obstacles. "
The ambassador said , " Britain is working to restore rehabilitation of infrastructure in various Iraqi cities , "noting that" the security and stability of Iraq, and he returned to take the role in the region is important for his country, and we are working to support and meet the challenges faced.
