An international peace plan in Yemen by the United Nations calls on the Huthis to abandon ballistic missiles in exchange for a halt to the bombing campaign by the Saudi-led coalition and an agreement to establish a transitional government, sources and sources said.
The plan has yet to be announced and may be amended, the latest effort to end Yemen's three-year civil war that has caused one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.
The Houthis, who took control of the capital Sanaa in 2014, face other Yemeni forces backed by the Saudi-led coalition and the Houthi Alliance.

"The non-state military parties must deliver heavy and medium weapons, including ballistic missiles, in an organized and planned manner," a draft of the document seen by Reuters and confirmed by two sources familiar with the report said.
"No armed groups will be excluded from disarmament," she said.
The two sources, who asked not to be named, said the wording included Huthis who fired ballistic missiles at neighboring Saudi Arabia.
The document also includes plans to establish a transitional government "with sufficient political components" and a nod to the Houthis who are unlikely to relinquish Sanaa without participating in a future government.
"The intention is to link the security aspects of politics, starting with stopping the fighting, then moving towards the withdrawal of troops and the formation of a national unity government. Perhaps this last goal is the most difficult," one source said.
The plan was drawn up by UN Special Envoy Martin Griffith, who is to present a "framework for negotiations" in Yemen by mid-June.
UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash hinted at Abu Dhabi's desire to support Griffith's efforts.
"Politically there is a need to support the efforts of the United Nations. This will eventually mean a transition to a new political system in Yemen.
