The Parliamentary Finance Committee diagnosed 6 constitutional and legal violations in the federal loan sent to Kurdistan to pay the salaries of employees in the region, warning that government banks may be forced to send people’s money deposited with them to cover the loan amount.
Committee member Yousef Al-Kalabi said in a televised statement followed by Al-Ghad Press, “The Federal Court’s decision prohibits sending money to Kurdistan before commitments,” indicating that “political agreements should be under the umbrella of the constitution.”
Al-Kalabi added, "The Kurdistan loan involves 6 legal and constitutional violations, as the law imposes controls on government bank managers regarding loans."
He continued, "Government banks may have to send people's money deposited with them to Kurdistan" to cover the loan amount.
