A high-ranking source in the Anbar local government reported, on Wednesday, that operations to export petroleum derivatives to Jordan through the Trebil port have stopped.
The source said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “Exporting oil derivatives from the Baiji refinery in Salah al-Din Governorate to Jordan through the Trebil port in the Rutba district, west of Anbar, stopped completely after demonstrators intercepted trucks carrying oil derivatives on their way to Jordan.”
He added, "The demonstrators took this measure to block the way for Iraqi oil to reach the Zionist authorities," stressing that "the authorities supervising the Trebil port informed the concerned authorities to stop exporting oil derivatives to Jordan until further notice."
