Today, Saturday (February 24, 2024), the House of Representatives announced the adjournment of its session until tomorrow, Sunday, while it finished reading a number of laws.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "The House of Representatives adjourned its session, which was held today, Saturday, after voting and the first and second reading of a number of draft laws."
She added, "The Council voted on the draft law to ratify the Republic of Iraq on the Arab Protocol to Prevent and Combat Trafficking in Human Beings, Especially Women and Children, annexed and supplementing the Arab Convention to Combat Transnational Organized Crime."
She noted, "The first reading of the proposed First Amendment Law to the Private Higher Education Law No. 25 of 2016 was completed, while the report and discussion of the draft Tobacco Protection Law was completed."
She continued, "The House of Representatives has completed the first reading of the proposed law on the first amendment to Passport Law No. 32 of 2015."
