An attempt to assassinate the Saudi king in Malaysia
Follow-up / Sky Press: Malaysian police said Tuesday they had arrested seven militants of Kano were planning an attack on Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz's motorcade during a visit to Malaysia.
He said the Inspector General of Police of Malaysia, Khalid Abu Bakar, in comments carried by the agency "Reuters" remarks, said that the arrests came just a few days from the Saudi monarch's visit to Malaysia, which took place on February 26 before.
He said Abu Bakr, "It was that group planning to attack the royal motorcade during a visit to Kuala Lumpur, and we capture them just in time."
He pointed out that the group was composed of one person a Malaysian, and 6 foreigners of different nationalities, one Indonesian, and four Yemenis and someone else from the East Asian nationality without naming it the Inspector General.
Inspector General also explained that he had been arrested in the period between 21 and February 26, on suspicion of links to organized "Daesh" terrorist, to be detected for King Salman targeting scheme.
